Here we are at the end of the students first full week at Highfield Littleport Academy.

The students have come from a variety of different settings and have settled into the school exceptionally well.  Some students have been out of school for an extended period of time and it is amazing to see how well they have settled in wiht us.  Routines are being established and we are enjoying testing out the new facilities we have on offer.  Our fantastic multi sensory room is now fully operational and is being used as a relaxation room as well as a great teaching space.

We introduced this week our 'Highfield Academy High Five' postcard.  This is a special post card home in recognition for specific achievements at school.  They are only given out by myself and I am proud to say I have posted 3 home already.  This week bought our first assembly where we celebrated why it is 'Good to be Me' and the students participated well sharing reasons why their friends were great.  In a few weeks we look forward to inviting Rev Howard into school to share an assembly with the students.

All of the staff are excited to show off the school this coming Thursday (21st September) at our public open evening.  We look forward to seeing you there.
