This morning both Scott Gaskins, Head of School for Littleport and East Cambridgeshire Academy and myself as Head of School for Highfield Littleport Academy, went on a full visit of the new school site.  We all donned full protective gear (including hard hat, safety boots and safety glasses!) to have a look at the progress that has been made on the site so far.

It was exciting to be able to step inside the development and see both schools really taking shape.  The build is now at a stage that with the help of the plans each classroom and specialist resource room can be identified.  It was clear to see that the facilities really are going to be top class.  Some of the Science labs for example are huge.  We were also able to see the Hydrotherapy Pool and even visualise where our offices could be!

Morgan Sindall are making great progress with the project and it is still on track to be completed ready to accept pupils in September 2017.  A further site visit is planned for around April to see how the site progresses further.  More photos from that visit will of course be posted.

Things are really taking shape:
