Morgan Sindall are continuing to work extremely hard to complete the Littleport project and the attached document shows it is nearly there! Many rooms are now finished and just the finishing touches being added. 9ine who are managing the ICT install are busy fitting out all of the elements for top class ICT provision. The ground works are progressing well with the entrance to Highfield Littleport being worked upon and cycle racks and shelters within the grounds being installed.
Behind the scenes staff are still managing requests for placement to the SEN school with the class number up to four now rather than the predicted three a few months ago. All staff are now in place after a mammoth recruitment drive and we are confident we have employed some highly skilled and experienced individuals. Much of the fixtures, fittings and equpment have now been ordered and we are expecting huge deliveries with lots of boxes to unpack in the next few weeks.
We have also been working hard establishing links with the local community. Businesses have been approached to support the new school as well as links being made with the local churches for future collaboration.
